Lina Park
Quiet illustrations for editorial pages, picture books, and the occasional recordsleeve.
Lina Park, working independently from their studio, focuses on the craft of long-form, considered work — building a body of practice rather than a backlog of projects.

Essay · About
My work tries to do one thing well: make a person stop and look. I draw with a light hand, a small palette, and a fondness for in-between hours — dawn, dusk, the moment before something is said. I work mostly in gouache and digital, but I keep a sketchbook close. I am happiest when a piece looks like it was always there.

Inside the studio
A short walk through the studio — the desk, the gouache, the in-between hours.
What people say
Lina sees what a piece needs before we do. She drew the cover and the whole book reorganized itself around it.
E. Holm

A rare collaborator — quiet, fast, and completely uncompromising about the work.
P. Bridgers

Half of why our last issue worked is the spot illustrations Lina filed at 6am the day of close.
